Job Description
The mission of the Texas Department of Banking is to ensure Texas has a safe, sound, and competitive financial services system. Under general direction, provides regulatory review and responses relating to activities at banks, trust companies, data processing centers and other regulated entities to determine their financial condition and compliance with statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, business administration, or economics, with a minimum of six hours, nine preferred, in accounting, to include basic and intermediate accounting.
- Ten years of progressively responsible experience in regulation, examination, and analysis of financial institutions.
- Current or former bank examiner commissioned by the FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, Texas Department of Banking, or another approved state banking authority.
