Job Description
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking a Construction Inspector to oversee construction projects in Dallas County. The Construction Inspector will perform detailed inspections and ensure contractors build roadways, bridges, and related structures in accordance with plans and specifications. The position includes working both outdoors and in an office environment.
Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies
- No experience required for Construction Inspector I
- 1 Year construction, construction inspection, engineering support, maintenance and repairs, materials or process inspection; or transportation engineering support related experience for Construction Inspector II
- 2 Years construction, construction inspection, engineering support, maintenance and repairs, materials or process inspection; or transportation engineering support related experience for Construction Inspector III
