Intern Maintenance Tech-WELLINGTON

This summer internship provides an opportunity to join the WELLINGTON Maintenance Section and take part in essential work that keeps the transportation system functioning safely and efficiently. The intern will support a variety of maintenance activities and gain valuable exposure to field operations and teamwork within a professional environment.

Requirements

• Perform entry-level and routine maintenance work
• Assist with repairs to potholes, roadway shoulders, and edges, guardrails, signs, and other related work
• Operate light equipment
• Maintain picnic and rest areas, rights-of-way, maintenance yards, and comfort stations
• Move/pick up litter and roadway debris
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on equipment
• Perform plant and landscape maintenance
• Perform some carpentry work
• Perform some clerical duties
