Hospital Educator

The Hospital Educator plays a key role in advancing professional development and delivering educational services to clinical staff, fostering excellence in patient care and safety. This role assesses learning needs, identifies training resources, and facilitates programs for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Assess educational needs across clinical departments
• Develop, facilitate, and coordinate educational programs and learning processes
• Ensure activities align with the hospital’s mission, values, priorities, and resources
• Collaborate with CNO, Compliance, and Human Resources on required training and competencies for CIHQ review
• Support clinical staff development through targeted education and mentorship
• Maintain and demonstrate clinical competency in the designated specialty through ongoing education, training, and practice
• Develop and oversee initial competency evaluations
• Manage the hospital’s Learning Management System (LMS)
• Collaborate with Chief Nursing Officer and Human Resources Director to organize and coordinate a comprehensive orientation program
• Collaborate closely with the clinical departments and Director of Compliance and Quality to support organizational goals
