Medical Billing/Verifications Specialist

The Medical Billing/Verifications Specialist is responsible for insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, managing claims, and providing excellent customer service. They also handle patient communication and ensure compliance with insurance policies and guidelines.

Requirements

• Obtain authorizations, referrals, GAP exceptions, and Single Case Agreements
• Manage and prioritize approvals with consistent follow-up
• Provide clinical documentation to insurance companies
• Check eligibility and benefits
• Electronic claims building and submission
• Chart and coding review
• Call patients when necessary
• Read and analyze EOBs and ERAs
• Manage claims rejects and denials
