Program Specialist (Austin)

The Texas Workforce Commission is seeking a Program Specialist to provide advanced consultative services and technical assistance work. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, a positive attitude, and a problem-solving drive to assist internal and external stakeholders. The position requires strong professional verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills, and experience with federal employment programs and training services.

Requirements

• Two years and six months of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency
• Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position
• Experience with federal employment programs and training services; experience with WIOA, RESEA and ES programs is a plus
• Experience with staff training and development
• Skilled in identifying measures or indicators of program performance
• Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts and devise solutions to problems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook)
