Requirements
- Two years and six months of full-time experience in gathering information, interviewing, or counseling; the instruction, demonstration, and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise; direct social work; eligibility determination; or in workforce development issues and programs and customer service.
- Three years of full-time experience in outreach activities, gathering and disseminating information, interviewing or counseling; the instruction, demonstration, and explanation of policies in a public or private enterprise; social work; eligibility determination; or in workforce development issues and programs.
- Knowledge of employment services, unemployment insurance work requirements, and workforce development programs.
- Familiarity with Workforce Solutions electronic tools (e.g., WorkInTexas, MyTXCareer).
- Ability to compose correspondence, summarize information, write case narratives, and processing complaints and related legal procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently while delivering employment services that help job seekers and employers succeed through Workforce Solutions.
- Comfort conducting outreach and providing services at employer sites, community centers, educational institutions.
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence.
