Systems & Software Engineer Manager

Textron Systems is seeking a Systems & Software Engineer Manager to lead a team of Software and Systems Engineers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities and technical expertise in Software and Systems Engineering methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices. The role will involve providing leadership and oversight for a team of engineers, driving development and engagement of Software and Systems Engineers, and overseeing systems engineering activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience
• Master’s degree (M.S.) in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 8 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of both Software and Systems Engineering methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices
• Expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML modeling frameworks
• Experience with Agile Software Development methods, tools, and practices
• Experience with System Architecture, requirements development, and lifecycle management processes
• Strong leadership abilities for guiding cross-disciplinary engineering teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for both internal team and customer engagement
• Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and problem-solving across multiple engineering domains
• Experience in defense, military, or similar industries is highly desirable and preferred
• An existing U.S. Security Clearance is preferred. Ability to obtain one is required
