Principal Backend Engineer

Teya is a payment and software service provider seeking a Principal Backend Engineer to lead development, design, and operation of customer experiences, workflows, and task management applications. The role involves shaping the future of the company's technology, contributing to feature development, and using technologies like Java, Kotlin, and Golang. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will take responsibility for successful projects, solve complex challenges, and mentor and coach other engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Ability to solve problems in code using data structures and algorithms
• Proven ability to document and communicate technical decisions
• Professional experience leading design or architecture of multiple new and existing systems
• Professional experience growing peer engineers through mentorship and guidance
