Systems Architect

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Systems Architect to join their team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering and experience with modern software engineering practices, methods, and tools. The role involves defining and maintaining system architectures, leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, and communicating technical designs to customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Systems, Electrical, Computer), Computer Science, or a closely related field
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, methods, and tools
• Knowledge of systems development life cycle
• Senior level expertise in URS (Urban Rail Signaling) Systems-Minimum 10 years on/or similar system complexity-Referent/coach on specialized engineering skills of the CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) domain
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in development of software-based System applications
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in using Capella tool in designing high complexity system.
