Dean of School Culture

The Academy Charter School is seeking a Dean of School Culture to foster a creative and high-motivation environment where students are skilled in acquiring new skills. This role will focus on teaching, assessment, classroom management, and school community engagement, ensuring the school meets high standards and provides a supportive environment for students. The Dean will play a vital role in promoting excellence and fostering a positive school culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of urban teaching experience
• Experience working with at-risk student population preferred
• Educational experience after college (fellowships, summer study, or graduate course work to pursue greater depth in a subject area)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written, grammatical, presentation, and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge and comfort level with instructional technology
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Knowledge of childhood development
