Job Description
The Academy Charter Middle School Social Studies teacher works to deepen students’ mastery of History. The teacher is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering instruction to groups of 20-25 students as well as providing small group tutoring for students who need additional instructional support in Social Studies.
Requirements
- 2-3 years teaching experience in a public high school or charter school setting, or similar background
- Bachelor’s degree in History from an accredited college or university, Master’s Degree preferred
- Valid New York State Certification (7-12) Preferred
