The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Electromechanical Engineer to provide technical authority and expertise in electromechanical control systems for spacecraft and launch vehicles. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with internal and external customers, provide guidance and advice on customer projects, and leverage your expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent
- 10 years of applicable professional or educational experience
- Experience in laboratory experimentation, developing test strategies, experiment design, and integration and test
- Experience working with electronics, mechanical design and structures, control systems, inertial sensors, and/or actuators
- Experience with spacecraft and/or launch vehicle control hardware
- Experience providing technical support in multi-program, multi-agency environments
- Experience training and mentoring less experienced technical staff
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and work outside regular business hours to accommodate customer needs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
