The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to provide cloud subject matter expertise to DoD, IC, and Civil Space customers. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership to deliver solutions that improve the performance, security, scalability, and reliability of cloud computing architectures, ensuring they meet customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM, with an emphasis in Computer Science or other sciences/engineering discipline
- 5 or more years of experience in relevant IT operations or traditional systems management, with a strong interest in transitioning to cloud technologies and modern infrastructure practices
- Proven experience with commercial or on-premises cloud platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Hands on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift)
- Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning using code-based tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CDK), and troubleshooting code for cloud environments
- Well-versed in Unix/Linux fundamentals with practical system administration experience
- Strong foundational understanding of computer networking principles
- Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash
- Willing to travel domestically up to 25%
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
