Producer, Video Podcasts (Short Term)

The Atlantic is seeking a short-term producer to join the team making a new weekly podcast hosted by David Brooks. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity and familiarity with the world of the humanities, history and intellectual life.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video production and editing (preferably in podcasting and journalism)
• Proficiency in taping and editing softwares, such as Riverside, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro
• Strong understanding of lighting, audio, and camera operation for high-quality video production
• Experience with remote recording workflows
• Outstanding editorial judgment, and strong communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated track record of producing high-quality work on ambitious deadlines and experience finding creative solutions to editorial problems
• Familiarity with YouTube and podcast distribution platforms
• Motion graphics and animation experience preferred
