Test (R&D) Technician

Conduct experiments to optimize tunneling speed, reduce cost, and increase reliability, and perform maintenance and repair tasks as a Test (R&D) Technician at The Boring Company.

Requirements

• Conduct experiments to optimize tunneling speed, reduce cost, and increase reliability
• Maintain and upgrade test stands and testing equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul of mechanical systems on test stands
• Drive general shop equipment
• Effectively communicate with management/supervisors, other technicians, and engineering staff
• Check work after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure it is complete per specification
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner
• Setup of safety equipment and work platforms
