The Content and Social Media Manager will develop and manage storytelling and digital content to elevate awareness, engagement, and support for The Bowery Mission. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller, social media native, and collaborative team player with a deep passion for justice and care for people experiencing homelessness and poverty.
Requirements
- Embrace the organization’s Statement of Faith
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Production, or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant professional experience (nonprofit experience a plus)
- Strong compassion and commitment to serving vulnerable communities
- Exceptional storytelling, copywriting, and editing skills
- Proven ability to ideate, shoot, and edit compelling short-form social content
- Skilled in photography, videography, and editing tools (Splice, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, in-app editing suites)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent project management, time management, and attention to detail
- High integrity, with the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders
- Alignment with The Bowery Mission’s Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct
