Job Description
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) I supports patient care by ensuring comfort and safety, following the model of care at TCH, which emphasizes collaboration between patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Perform clinical tasks assigned by the RN
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Demonstrate key behavioral competencies such as effective communication, adaptability, teamwork, and personal accountability
- Ensure patient and unit safety
- Provide patient comfort and hygiene
- Orient patients and families to the hospital environment and facilitate communication throughout the hospitalization process
