Registered Nurse

The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to patients and families. The RN utilizes biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing science to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The care is culturally based, age specific, and based on the TCH model of care which promotes patient and family partnership. The RN adheres to American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and the scope of practice described in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Understand and apply principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Adherence to ethical guidelines and scope of practice.
• Knowledge of TCH model of care and patient/family-centered care.
