Job Description
We are seeking a passionate English as a Second Language Teacher to join our school teams at Community Day Charter Public School in Lawrence, MA. The successful candidate will work with students of diverse English proficiencies, delivering high-quality curriculum and instruction while creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Teach English as a Second Language to students with diverse English proficiencies
- Create a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning environment
- Deliver rich content and provide scaffolds as needed in small groups and in the classroom
- Continuously assess language goals for students and adapt instruction to support their growth
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, grade-level, and content teams
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Administer and analyze assessments, maintain student records, and attend key whole-school events
