Job Description
TEP Charter School is seeking a Vocal Arts and Theater Teacher to join a talented team of educators in a highly successful school focused on equity and innovation. This role involves leading 45-minute music periods for Middle School students, integrating vocal and theater instruction, and preparing students for performance opportunities. TEP focuses on a world-class education for students from historically underserved communities, utilizing modern pedagogical practices and collaborative environments.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of lead teaching experience, with at least 2 years in classrooms supporting Special Education students
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement an engaging music education curriculum aligned with state standards
- Passion for music education and student development
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- Certification requirements: Music Teachers do not need to possess a New York State Teacher Certification to be hired at TEP
