Job Description
The Farmer's Dog is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to play a critical role in upholding the trust of customers by ensuring the highest quality raw materials are used in their products. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of experience in quality assurance or supplier management within a human or human grade pet food manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related technical field
- 5-8+ years of experience in quality assurance or supplier management within a human or human grade pet food manufacturing environment
- PCQI 2.0 (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual), HACCP, and GFSI/SQF Practitioner certifications
- Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS), ERP software (i.e. TraceGains), and statistical analysis tools like SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- Strong negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence suppliers without direct authority
