Job Description
As a Peer Engagement Specialist with Chelton Loft, you'll be part of a small team working with people living with mental illness. You'll develop and coordinate opportunities for friendship, employment, housing, education, and medical services in a clubhouse environment.
Requirements
- New York State Certified Peer Specialist
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related field, OR equivalent experience and at least 2 years of experience in human services
- Experience in a Psychosocial Clubhouse or mental health support program (preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office and databases
- Ability to work with diverse populations and remain calm in emotional situations
