Job Description
This student will support the Guest Empowerment Coordinator with the daily Guest programing of the expanded community garden, which supplies fresh produce and therapeutic outdoor engagement opportunities, while also assisting with basic bicycle repairs that directly reduce barriers to transportation for vulnerable individuals.
Requirements
- Be 20 to 30 years old at the start of employment
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Genuine passion to work with a vulnerable population
- Interest or experience in gardening, landscaping, or outdoor work
- Basic mechanical or bicycle repair skills, or willing to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying
