Job Description
Hinckley Yachts is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join their growing boat yard in Southwest Harbor, Maine. The role involves performing intricate joiner, carpentry repair, and boat building, using yacht restoration work orders. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, managing projects, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Requirements
- Transfer dimensions to marine plywood and other construction materials.
- Make accurate cuts of wood and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Troubleshoot leaks, squeaks, and repairs.
- Layout, cut, and assemble boat parts.
- Apply caulking compound and epoxy resin (basic fiberglass repair).
- Follow safety rules and maintain a safe work area.
