Job Description
The position involves transporting clients to and from contracted vendors and pre-determined designated locations in light buses and/or vans. The driver is responsible for the safety of all passengers, operating manual and remote-controlled wheelchair lifts, and reporting delays and accidents immediately.
Requirements
- Complete the Training program within 30 days of employment
- Operate manual and remote-controlled wheelchair lifts
- Regulate heating equipment and ventilation of buses
- Log mechanical inspection and cleanliness of vehicle on daily trip sheet
- Check water, gas, oil, and mechanical condition of the bus weekly
- Report delays and accidents immediately
- Report defects or problems with vehicle to Director of Transportation immediately
