Job Description
Software Test Engineer – Modderfontein – Salary R55 000 to R60 000 CTC. A leading technology and manufacturing business is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join its team in Modderfontein. This role focuses on manual and automated testing of embedded/firmware-driven products, ensuring quality and performance against software requirements.
Requirements
- Create and execute manual + automated test scripts
- Design test cases to uncover defects and validate feature implementation
- Perform informal firmware testing alongside development engineers during build stages
- Plan and manage formal testing cycles, including reporting and documentation
- Analyse software changes to support accurate test planning
- Maintain test plans, procedures, and acceptance reports
- Support continuous improvement in testing practices and team workflows
