Job Description
This role is for a Special Education Teacher who will work in the regular education classroom, providing support to general education teachers. This involves providing direct and consultation to teachers, assisting with curriculum modifications, developing IEPs, and working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Participate in child study teams and assist with the evaluation of educational needs and intervention strategies for students suspected of being handicapped.
- Schedule and conduct IEPT meetings.
- Assist teachers with curriculum and classroom activity adaptations and modifications.
- Serve as liaison to parents of special education students.
