The Metropolitan Museum of Art is seeking an Assistant Curator, Egyptian Art to contribute to the study, documentation, presentation, and communication of ancient Egyptian art to the broad public.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Egyptology or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience originating research in areas of expertise
- Demonstrated experience working within museum collections
- Excellent computer skills, with familiarity with museum databases (TMS preferred)
- Demonstrated language skills in ancient Egyptian languages and scripts
- Ability to adapt and produce results on multiple projects with shifting priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
