Job Description
The After Care Teacher is responsible for assisting with indoor and outdoor projects, projects, games, play, and general safety/supervision of Preschool and/or Lower School students (ages 5-7) between the hours of 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm daily. Work occurs on the premises at Mount Vernon’s Lower Campus.
Requirements
- Experience in a school, after-school or camp environment preferred
- Background or interest in the field of education preferred
- Strong written/oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and flex with the needs of children
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to use sound judgment
- Passion for working with young children
