Coach- Fair Futures

The Fair Futures Coach provides support and resources to help youth who have had experiences with the justice system make progress towards their academic, career development, independent living, and other life goals. The role involves home-based or community case management services, engaging primary caregivers, and connecting families to resources. The Fair Futures Coach will report directly to the Fair Futures Coach Supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human/Social Service-related field (including Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area)
• 2 years of relevant experience in child welfare, social services, or a related field
• Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to receive and execute feedback to professionally grow and/or improve
• Ability to manage stress, self-care and maintain a high level of self-awareness
• Understanding and commitment to complying with the New York State Central Register of Abuse and Neglect protocol
• Comfortable and able to travel and visit families in their homes and perform safety assessments
