Job Description
DSP II works primarily in medical and behavioral settings to implement and maintain treatment plans for persons supported with Developmental Disabilities, focusing on person-centered approaches.
Requirements
- Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) (e.g., personal hygiene, food preparation, housekeeping, laundry, shopping)
- Executes behavioral support (law enforcement, high needs) and monitoring plans
- Maintains accurate and timely service records of daily activities, medication administration, behavior data, and any incidents
- Ensures community inclusion and integration by facilitating participation in community actions, social events, and recreational opportunities
- Utilizes authorized plans to de-escalate challenging behaviors and respond to crises
- Provides an atmosphere conducive to positive behavior, while observing, reporting regressive behavior, and working cooperatively with clinical staff
