Manager of Organizing and Strategy, NYC

The Manager of Organizing and Strategy, NYC will work closely with the Advocacy Department to grow the organization’s statewide presence, deepen the engagement of NYC-based members and partners in NYIC initiatives, and build the political power of immigrant communities, the organizations who serve them, and strengthen the NYIC’s advocacy efforts.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in community organizing, advocacy, or related fields, preferably in New York City.
• Deep commitment and understanding of social justice, immigrant justice, and NYC’s diverse immigrant communities.
• Experience collaborating with multiple, diverse partners to advance shared goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication skills, and comfort with public speaking and meeting facilitation.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Proficiency in Spanish or another language spoken in immigrant communities in NYC is required.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
