Audience Editor, Metro

The New York Times is seeking an Audience Editor to join the newsroom Audience team and partner with the Metro desk to help them reach more readers and deepen engagement. The editor will inform coverage, suggest timely stories, and track data to provide context and recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in digital journalism, with a demonstrated track record in audience development
• Proven skill at bridging specialties, including reporting, editing, product, analytics, design, and user research
• Experience collaborating, and effectively partnering with colleagues across the newsroom, strategy, product, data, and marketing teams, and beyond
