The New York Times National desk is seeking a versatile, experienced correspondent based in Ohio to cover the state and Mid-Atlantic region, collaborating closely with colleagues in the region. The role requires a strong understanding of the area and ability to unearth revealing and surprising stories for readers in the state and beyond.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience at a journalism or media company
• 5+ years of experience of reporting from a region for a national and global audience.
• Strong reporting and writing skills that demonstrate mastery of journalistic style and standards, including ethical and superb news judgment
• A portfolio that includes politics, news, enterprise and analysis.
