The New York Times is seeking a veteran journalist to lead our science coverage as a Deputy Editor, Science. The role involves conceiving, shaping, and driving coverage of science and its impact on the nation and the world, working closely with the Science editor and reporters.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an editor, ideally with experience across many forms of storytelling
• 5+ years of experience covering science, with a proven ability to relate these beats to a general audience
• Experience with framing and elevating stories for the broadest possible audience
