The New York Times is seeking a Technical Product Manager II to help develop the product management function within Data Platform and focus on developing analytics, business intelligence (BI), and related tooling and experiences.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing and building analytics, Business Intelligence solutions, or data products as a product manager or equivalent role.
- Track record implementing complex data systems applying supporting data analysis, reasoning, and optimization as part of the decision-making process.
- Experience in data handling approaches and technologies.
- Understanding of data governance, data modeling, data pipelines, and data infrastructure.
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Background in software development, engineering, data science, or marketing technologies.
- Hands-on experience using BI, Analytics, and data tools (ex: Hex, dbt, MonteCarlo, or Chartbeat)
- Familiarity with data querying languages and technologies (ex: SQL, python, BigQuery, AWS, or Spark).
