The Open University is seeking a Research and Innovation Associate to join the Planet Mercury: Origins, Evolution, and Interactions consortium. The successful candidate will work with the Mercury Imaging X-ray Spectrometer (MIXS) team for ESA’s BepiColombo Mercury Planetary Orbiter, and will be based at the Open University. The role involves identifying key geological processes associated with various geochemical terranes on Mercury, leading or collaborating in investigations into Mercury’s volcanic history, and collaborating in elemental and mineralogical experiments on Mercury analogue materials.
