US Speech and Debate Assistant Coach

The Overlake School is seeking a US Assistant Speech and Debate Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The position involves supporting the Head Coach, providing individual and group instruction, and communicating with parents. The compensation is $20,000, distributed over 10 months, and the work hours are part-time, with some evening and weekend commitments.

Requirements

• Positive, caring, and supportive attitude towards the school's mission statement
• Ability to work collaboratively with club leaders and members
• Perspectives, identities, and skills that reflect, affirm, and enrich the diversity of the Overlake community
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and have an acceptable driving record
• Ability to attend evening practices and up to 14 weekends for competitions
• Ability to view and operate a computer frequently and consistently
• Ability to move physically throughout campus, and at external locations where competitions are held
