Upper Division English Teacher

The Upper Division English Teacher is a full-time position at The Park School in Brookline, MA. The teacher will teach four sections of English, design and implement lessons, and oversee student performance and engagement. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of teaching experience, and a commitment to diversity and equity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of teaching experience at the middle school level is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and other adults.
• Strong communication skills, including experience in writing student comments and other school-related documents.
• ​​High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in teaching and learning & experience in working in a culturally diverse community.
• Demonstrated interest in ongoing professional development and innovative practices that support student growth.
• Ability to think independently and collaborate in a team environment.
• Skill in differentiating instruction.
• Maintain focus and adaptability in an energetic and, at times, loud environment.
• Effectively interpret, navigate, mediate, and resolve conflicts with students and families in a timely manner.
