Requirements
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Perform physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and point-of-care testing
- Perform minor procedures such as wound care, suturing, splinting, and incision and drainage (as trained)
- Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, follow-up care, and preventive measures
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols
