Job Description
Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join a lean, highly skilled technology team within a financial services environment. This role will focus on designing, supporting, and optimizing secure, high-performance network infrastructure.
Requirements
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure within a financial services environment
- Manage and troubleshoot routing protocols with a strong focus on BGP
- Administer and support Palo Alto firewalls including configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting
- Support Cisco switching and routing across core, distribution, and access layers
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues before users do
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed
- Collaborate closely with a small, tight-knit technology team
- Communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Maintain network documentation and follow change management processes
