Job Description
The Foot Care Nurse provides high-quality foot care to clients, focusing on assessments, interventions, and education, particularly for individuals with diabetes or chronic conditions. This role involves comprehensive foot assessments, wound care, infection control, patient education, and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- BScN
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Professional Foot Care Certificate
- At least 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse with a focus on wound care or diabetes management
- CPR certification within the last 12 months (BCLS is a minimum)
- Strong knowledge of foot care procedures and infection control
- Proficient in using medical equipment
- Excellent communication skills
