The Salvation Army is seeking an AOD Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to participants in their Residential Rehabilitation Program. The successful candidate will facilitate program engagement, daily routines, and group participation, contributing to a holistic approach to participant wellbeing.
Requirements
- A qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Addiction Counselling, Community Services or related discipline (minimum Certificate IV)
- Experience in the AOD sector or broader social services environment
- Understanding of AOD harm minimisation principles, risk assessment, crisis response and trauma-informed practice
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A current Working with Children Check and Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to work within a rotating 24/7 roster, including morning, afternoon, night and sleepover shifts
