Press Operator - Mill

We are seeking a Press Operator to work in our Mill in St. Margarets, NB. Responsibilities include operating peat baling equipment, assisting others, and keeping work areas clean. Must be able to work safely, read and write English, and lift up to 50 pounds. Bilingualism and experience with forklifts are assets.

Requirements

• Work in a safe manner and display a good attitude
• Have the ability to read and understand written instructions in ENGLISH and to complete paperwork, forms and checklists
• Have reliable transportation
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Be capable of working overtime and shift work
• Be capable of working in a noisy, dusty environment and in cold and hot conditions
• Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Be willing to be trained for other jobs
• Meet minimum performance standards
• Be able to use a wide variety of implements (broom, shovel, vacuum, etc.) to ensure cleanliness of the plant
• Not have restrictions limiting one's ability to properly wear Personal Protective Equipment
• Provide a CPIC (Criminal Record) Check
