Sr. Journeyperson

The Sr. Journeyperson will perform various tasks related to the layout and installation of commercial and industrial electrical systems under the supervision of a project manager, superintendent, foreperson, or senior journeyperson.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Minimum of six years' experience in the electrical or building automations trade and/or completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program
• Satisfactorily performs tasks at or above Journeyperson level
• Ability to properly lay out and administer small jobs (normally one to six men)
• Good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Confident, decisive, self-motivated, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive professional attitude
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location/office
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Basic level computer literacy including word processing, working with spreadsheets, processing emails and data entry
• Ability to work required overtime to complete project(s) within required deadline
• Ability to read, understand and effectively apply construction drawings, specifications and electrical schematics and makes effective independent decisions when scope of work deviates
• Ability and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed
