The Sr. Journeyperson will perform various tasks related to the layout and installation of commercial and industrial electrical systems under the supervision of a project manager, superintendent, foreperson, or senior journeyperson.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Minimum of six years' experience in the electrical or building automations trade and/or completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program
- Satisfactorily performs tasks at or above Journeyperson level
- Ability to properly lay out and administer small jobs (normally one to six men)
- Good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Confident, decisive, self-motivated, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive professional attitude
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location/office
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Basic level computer literacy including word processing, working with spreadsheets, processing emails and data entry
- Ability to work required overtime to complete project(s) within required deadline
- Ability to read, understand and effectively apply construction drawings, specifications and electrical schematics and makes effective independent decisions when scope of work deviates
- Ability and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed
