Seasonal Fine Gardener

The Trustees of Reservations seeks a Seasonal Fine Gardener to work at Stevens-Coolidge House and Gardens in North Andover, Massachusetts. As a fine gardener, you will conduct various horticultural tasks throughout the property, greenhouse complex, and landscapes, working side by side with the horticulturist and volunteers. The position requires at least 3 years of experience in estate or professional fine gardening, knowledge of sustainable techniques, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• At least 3 years' experience in estate or professional fine gardening
• Knowledgeable in the cultivation and maintenance of annual and perennial plants using sustainable techniques including integrated pest management (IPM) methods
• Experienced in pruning shrubs and small trees
• Able to identify weeds and invasive plants
• Familiar with pests and diseases of common landscape plants
• Experienced in the use of landscape and gardening equipment including mowers, weed whips, edgers, shovels, pruners
• Strong communication skills
