Research Assistant

The Research Assistant will provide research assistance and coordination primarily for two projects of the Therapeutics Initiative (TI) in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC: 1) a CIHR-funded research project, and 2) the Education Working Group. The position is located in Victoria (preferred) or Vancouver, but the incumbent will work with team members across BC.

Requirements

• Completion of a relevant technical program or a university degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to use internet applications (e.g., WordPress) and tools at an intermediate level.
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills using clear concise business English.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, and have a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to exercise tact, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential matters.
