APP Emergency Medicine -PRN

The APP in the Emergency Department manages health problems and coordinates health care in the ED setting, delivering patient care and medical services to individuals, families and groups.

Requirements

• Evaluate medical problems of patients who present to the ED and request consultation of other specialties when indicated.
• Provide education to patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
• Create diagnostically appropriate treatment plans, document all medical evaluation, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, referrals and consultations, and refer complex and high priority cases to collaborating physician.
• Provide medical and emergency interventions, prescribe and monitor medications, order and monitor the appropriateness of emergency interventions, and maintain collegiality with all members of the inter-disciplinary team.
