Job Description
The Patient Financial Advisor Lead assists team members on workflow and performance by following the financial policy and procedures for the hospital enterprise. This position provides assistance & guidance to front line team members and assists with customer service issues.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- 5 or more years in financial advising, claims processing, benefits explanation, cost estimates, benefit pricing, or patient accounting rep experience
- Knowledge of Insurance (Commercial and Government)
- Knowledge of payor websites
- Knowledge of Transplant (BMT and/or Solid)
- Knowledge of CMS regulations
- Experience in Epic, CPT-4 and HCPCS coding
